In February 2019, the German Federal Cabinet adopted the 'National Strategy for Reducing Food Waste', setting a framework for the future direction of this initiative. Among other things, it stipulated that an inter-ministerial "Indicator 12.3 Working Group" should prepare the data bases and methods for nationwide balancing of food waste generation (baseline). Based on existing 2015 data, this status quo analysis will be used as a starting point to agree on milestones for the respective sectors.

Regulatory data submitted to EU institutions, bodies, offices and agencies is – depending on the nature of such information – subject to a myriad of different transparency regimes. These regimes determine rules on disclosure following access requests, the possibilities to object to such disclosure as well as the (scope of) active dissemination of such information.

The economic influence of China on Africa has been apparent for some time, has this influence spread into the sphere of climate policy and law? This article considers the development and implementation of Chinese climate change policy and law and whether lessons can be drawn from the Chinese experience and be effectively applied to African countries. The analysis is made against the backdrop of development in China and Africa, Chinese development efforts and co-operation with African countries, and takes into account the wide differences in the levels of economic and social development of those countries.

An increasing number of consumers are using the Internet to obtain information, plan and buy their travel. The present paper provides an introduction on the role of tourism for development and highlights the role of technology innovation in the tourism sector, in particular in the context of digital divide as well as the urgency of actions to address its economic, social and cultural environment.

Greece is a country rich in thermal springs, the majority of which -due to tectonic reasons etc- is located along the coastal zone. The presence of thermal springs in this specific part of the Greek territory has contributed -in the passing of time- not only to the growth of spa tourism, but also to the urbanization of those areas.
